Brandon Warren

Pastoral Resident

Hey, I’m Brandon! I became a follower of Jesus through the high school ministry here at Morning Star in 2009, so I have a special place in my heart for high school students. It’s a great honor and privilege to be leading and loving high school students in the same ministry that showed me the love of Jesus for the first time. I recently graduated from Multnomah University, and my time there was formational for my love of Scripture and my philosophy of leadership: The greatest leaders are the humblest servants. I’m honored to be a member of the servant leadership here at Morning Star. I love studying and teaching God’s word. One of the biggest passions that shapes my life is to see people fall in love with Christ and walk in meaningful, lifelong relationships with him as they encounter him through his written word. It’s amazing to work with high school students and help them as they grow in their walks with Jesus.

In my free time I love reading theology, biblical studies, and fiction; drinking delicious coffee, spending time with my family and friends (chances are I’ll be cooking something), listening to great music, enjoying movies, and going on long drives in the country. As a musician myself (I’ve spent most of my life playing the cello), I love all kinds of good music. Some of my favorites include Radiohead, Gustav Mahler, Led Zeppelin (thanks, Dad!), and The Brilliance.

I look forward to getting to know you. Let’s grab coffee!
